Credits to My Teachers
In my service to women and families as a doula or birthkeeper, I apply The Way of the Hearthmother steps to every situation, and encourage my clients to do the same.
First, pray and worship the Lord, the Creator of heaven, earth, and everything in them.
Second, wait upon Him for guidance, lovingkindness, and wisdom.
Third, get curious about the situation, asking good questions about what is happening.
Fourth, engage the body of Christ, asking fellow believers and your community for support, input, and experience.
Fifth, live as designed, considering how God intended us to move, be nourished, and aligned.
Sixth, consider gentle interventions to encourage the body toward alignment such as herbs and homeopathy.
Finally, if all else has been exhausted, pursue forceful and invasive interventions as needed to preserve life, praying and worshipping all the while.
Mission, Vision, and Beliefs
Mission
I equip growing families to glorify God in their birth choices and beyond by understanding and respecting His design.
Vision
Women nourished physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Pregnancies celebrated, respected, and truly cared for.
Babies born in an environment of trust, love, and worship.
Postpartum seasons supported, honored, and restorative.
Families growing, connecting, and glorifying God together.
Beliefs
Women's bodies are intelligently designed to cycle, conceive, carry, birth, and nourish.
The nourished body and intuitive spirit are keys to guide the normal birth process.
Birth works best and is safest when left alone, at home.
We live in a fallen world corrupted by sin, which can interfere with God’s good design for birth.
Most obstetrical interventions are grossly overused and cause iatrogenic harm to mothers and babies.
God’s grace is evident through available interventions used when they are truly necessary.
Fear creates tension, tension creates pain, pain creates fear.
Women should be thoroughly informed of the benefits, risks, and alternatives to any offered intervention to make the best choice for her situation.
“Whenever and however you intend to give birth, your experience will impact your emotions, your mind, your body and your spirit for the rest of your life.”

I live in San Jose, CA and am available to support home births throughout Silicon Valley, in the South Bay, Peninsula, and some East Bay Areas. For clients outside my driving distance, virtual support packages are available.

Absolutely. I believe every woman should be able to labor and birth where and with whom she feels most comfortable to enable a smooth and blissful experience. In the event that you decide to transfer, I will support you in that time of transition as far as hospital policies will allow. If you are planning a DIY/sovereign/freebirth, let’s discuss how I can best support your vision and experience!

New sensations like labor and interacting with a birth team can be a stressful environment for any laboring woman, and even moreso for people with neuro processing differences. Drawing from my lived experience as an autistic woman in labor and your personal reflections on how sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste can affect your flow, we will work together to plan how to reduce interruptions to your natural hormones and maximize your comfort and communication during labor.

Everyone has their own ideas and beliefs they bring to birth, and I once thought I would want all the ‘relief’ a hospital would have to offer, until I learned more about the process and risks to myself and my baby. I believe epidurals can be a help in certain situations, but if your birth vision includes it as a default, we may not be a good fit. If you’re just unsure, let’s discuss your goals to inform you of the options and alternatives that may be available.

If this is you, I am so sorry, I have been there before mama, and you are not alone. I offer bereavement support as a ministry and can provide information about management options within and without the medical system. My inbox is open to you.
